1949 — The Beginning
Hemani Herbals started its operations in Pakistan in 1949, founded by Muhammad Hussain Ismail Hemani. What began as a humble trading business in herbal raw materials sourcing from around the world and expanded into supplying to major pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers across Pakistan and beyond.
1980s — International Expansion
In the 1980s, under the leadership of Mustafa Hemani, the company transitioned from local trading to forging an international presence by strengthening its vision for worldwide growth. With strong expertise in sourcing, Hemani began supplying herbal ingredients globally, establishing enduring partnerships with international manufacturers.
1990s — Branding and Market Leadership
During the 1990s, Hemani moved beyond raw material trading to branded herbal products. The company launched a wide range of herbal oils and cemented its position as a recognized leader in the market. In 1995, the head office was moved to Dubai, providing vital access to global markets and fueling further expansion to GCC’s and Middle eastern countries.
2000s — Manufacturing and Product Diversification
By 2000, Hemani had acquired its first warehouse facility at Site Area, Karachi, laying the groundwork for future manufacturing capabilities. In 2007, the company introduced its finished product; Black Seed Oil 125 ml, celebrated for its traditional uses and as deeply rooted in Islamic heritage, Black Seed has long been valued as a symbol of holistic well-being and a cure for every illness. This marked a major milestone in Hemani’s transition into consumer products.
2006
This phase marked key leadership growth, with Ali Abbas Khaku joining as Director of Hemani Group of Companies.
2007
Zohair Hemani became the part of Hemani Group of Companies as a Director in 2007 supporting the company’s strategic expansion.
2009
The company strengthened its global operations by expanding processing capacity within export zones and diversifying into herbal oils, teas and beauty products, growing its portfolio to over 1,000 products.
2010s — Scaling Up and Global Presence
Hemani strengthened its manufacturing footprint with five facilities in Lahore and further expanded operations into export processing zones. During this phase, the brand launched an extensive portfolio of approximately 1,000 products, including Coconut Oil, Zait Al Hayee herbal hair oils, and a wide range of 30 ml herbal oils. This growth marked Hemani’s successful entry into over 60 countries worldwide, establishing its global presence. In 2017, the Hemani launched another brand with the name “Wb by Hemani” and an expanded product range to over 1,300 offerings, while strengthening its presence in the Pakistan market and reinforcing Dubai as a strategic hub.
2019 to 2020 — New Frontiers of Growth
Dedicated to delivering high-quality wellness solutions, Hemani Herbals has always prioritized public health. During the unpredicted challenges of the Covid19 pandemic, we rapidly adapted our operations to support the community. Our facilities operated around the clock to produce large quantities of hand sanitizers while simultaneously introducing Immune Tea to aid in immune support and recovery. We take great pride in our ability to respond to crisis with agility, providing critical resources when they were needed most and helping people to stay health during the critical time.

2021 - Nationwide Distribution Foundation
In 2021, Hemani Herbals strengthened its domestic supply chain by establishing a Lahore-based warehouse to support central and southern regions of Pakistan. This marked a critical step in improving logistics efficiency and regional product availability.
2022 - National Distribution Network
By 2022, Hemani Herbals achieved a fully operational distribution network across Pakistan, ensuring consistent product availability and streamlined channel management nationwide. A structured and scalable distribution model was developed, covering Punjab, KPK, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and major urban centers.
2023 - Expansion into Strategic Economic Zones
In November, Hemani Herbals expanded operations into Sunder Green Special Economic Zone (SEZ), strategically positioning the brand to support future manufacturing and large-scale operational growth.
2025 – Business Development
In 2025, Hemani Herbals entered a focused expansion phase, prioritizing regional growth through new sign-ups in the UAE and planning operational setups in Pakistan, including a proposed Lahore facility. This period emphasized structural and operational readiness for future scale. These initiatives aim to strengthen production capacity, optimize the supply chain and support sustained global growth.
